Many of my genealogical roots lie either on or around the Isle of Portland and the village of Portesham, both located in South Dorset, England.

To coincide with the publication of the 1901 census, I have transcribed (retaining the original abbreviations grammar etc.) the entries given in the Kelly's 1903 Post Office Directory for these places. It is hoped that others researching either local history or ancestry from here, may find the the following pages useful.
